
He started skiing in his childhood at the Sun Valley Ski Resort at the time and joined the Asahikawa Junior Alpine Team, starting his journey in alpine racing. In the upper grades of elementary school, he became a member of the YAMAHA Ski Team. After advancing to junior high school, he participated in the National Junior High School Ski Tournament for three consecutive years. He then enrolled in the Physical Education Program at Asahikawa University High School but left school due to personal circumstances. Subsequently, he stepped away from the ski world for 10 years.
In 2001, he returned to the competition scene, participating in the Ski Cross Masters Japan Series. He achieved 3rd place in the first race and won the second race, earning a spot in the Super Final. In 2002, he placed 5th in the first race of the Ski Cross Masters and 2nd in the third race, once again advancing to the Super Final. During this time, he joined the K2 Akiba Works team.
In 2003, due to health issues, he did not compete in the Masters but shifted his focus toward freeride skiing, basing himself at Mt. Asahidake and starting his activities as a big mountain skier. In 2007, he signed a contract with Vectorglide.
